Prayer

Project Compassion - Lenten Prayer

God of our journey, we are all pilgrims of hope brought together by your love and your wish that we may all be one. We pray that in this Year of Jubilee, when we are called to greater justice and care for our common home that we may Unite Against Poverty. May we work in unity for the freedom of the oppressed and the renewal of creation. May our compassionate minds and generous hearts help bring about a world where all can live in peace. May our Lenten pilgrimage of fasting, almsgiving and prayer bring us closer to your loving heart. We ask this in the name of Jesus.

Amen

Pilgrams Of Hope

SPECIAL VISIT TO ST COLUMBA’S, YEOVAL!

In week 8, we were delighted to welcome CEDB Educational Officer Dane Fitzpatrick to St Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Yeoval! Dane visited our school with a very special gift - a beautiful banner that promotes the 2025 Jubilee, ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. This banner will serve as a daily inspiration, encouraging our school community to walk together as pilgrims of hope, bringing light and love to those in need.

Keeping the Beat at St. Columba's!

The students at St. Columba’s Catholic Primary School, Yeoval, have discovered the joy of percussion. Learning to keep a beat while exploring different percussion instruments, the students are making music with energy and enthusiasm.

HOLY WEEK LITURGY 10th April 2025

Holy Week commemorates the seven days leading up to Easter. It begins with the commemoration of Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, marks the betrayal of Jesus on Wednesday, and climaxes with the commemoration of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday and the Passion of Jesus on Good Friday.

This year, Holy Week is in the first week of the school holidays:

  • Palm Sunday – April 13.
  • Holy Thursday – April 17.
  • Good Friday – April 18.
  • Holy Saturday – April 19.
  • Easter Sunday – April 20.

The school will celebrate Holy Week events at 9:30 am, on Thursday, 10th April, in the Our Lady Catholic Church.
All parents, grandparents and families are invited to share in the celebration of Holy Week with the school.

Following our Holy Week Liturgy, we invite parents, grandparents and families to the school to enjoy morning tea with their children. Please bring a plate to share; coffee and tea will be provided.
